Sacred Bonds: Personality & Mizaj (Temperament) Theory
A Psycho-Spiritual Workshop on Personality & Mizaj
Marriage in Islam is not merely a contract, but a sacred trust and a path toward sakinah (tranquility), mawaddah (love), and rahmah (mercy). The Premarital Sacred Bonds Seminar helps couples prepare for this trust by exploring personality through an Islamic lens, with special attention to mizāj (temperament) and the natural differences Allah places within each person. Drawing on temperament theory, the seminar helps couples understand how distinct emotional dispositions, communication styles, needs, sensitivities, and patterns of response shape married life. Rather than treating differences as problems to overcome, couples learn to see them as signs to be understood with wisdom, patience, and compassion. By integrating personality, temperament, and Islamic principles of adab, mutual rights, and spiritual growth, this seminar offers couples practical and spiritual guidance for building a home rooted in balance, understanding, mercy, and nearness to Allah.
